Its been just over a week since we returned from the mighty Saint Cassien filming for the up & coming series of @kordaofficial #monstercarp.
I had my RT4 with me again: …creating a quick 3D depthmap in the morning, view the best spots with the Dragonfly Echo and select them…. and then place the rigs and baits exactly… a tactic that works even on the most extreme waters!
I was lucky to realise my dream of banking a Cassien carp on the most incredible morning on a spot that I would never have found with a Spodrod. I really couldn’t have painted a better picture of what the scene would look like for my first carp from this historic lake! I was ecstatic as I glanced into the net to see the tank like shoulders of a 40lb+ Common carp.
The longer you fish, the more you achieve, the harder it becomes to recapture the emotion you felt in your early childhood years, it isn’t just the capture itself that evokes that elation, it’s every step of the challenge leading to the ultimate result…

I have hardly ever used a baitboat before, as I had not found the right one for me. But this particular session was perfect for the first use of the RT4 Baitboat: finding spots with the precise echo sounder combined with the amazing BaitSpiral feeding screws really brings a new dimension to fishing, which gave me the winning edge on these difficult waters.
My efforts paid off - after daily spot searching and setting up concentrated Bait tracks, I was able to catch 5 carp up to 49lb in the last 2 nights! Technology perfected throughout and a real addition to my monster carp arsenal. I'm really excited and looking forward to using the RT4 again.

What an approach this was! Jürgen with natural goodness, solid bag dropped on a super slack line for a nice straight drop, minimal swing back. The Raymarine came up with dozents of big carp - all concentrated on one small spot! Of coure thats where Ali placed his Rigs :
Whilst Ali mapping the lake, the incredible Raymarine Echo sounder system slowly drifted over an area that was sandwiched between Ali’s spots in the cold water, unbelievably it was full of carp which is often a signature of cold water fishing.
Ali Hamidi:
"It's not just in cold water that finding the fish is the key to being effective. 50 metres might as well be 50000 miles in the cold, if you’re not on the fish then it really doesn’t matter how great the rest of your tackle, bait etc is, in this situation the echo sounder has literally pinpointed a huge shoal of fish in an area I had no rods! "
After 3 nights without fish I found this one spot with the Raymarine and within 14 hours I caught 4 top-class fish up to 59,12lb and finished the trip successfully.
The RT4 with autopilot and Raymarine is really a gamechanger and "Jürgen" has been an important tool in my fishing for a long time!
