Compared to feed boats with lead batteries, our Li-Ion batteries save several kilograms of weight with a longer battery life.
Compared to Lipo batteries used in model making, our high-performance industrial cells in the Li-Ion pack offer the following advantages:
| Puncture-proof cells
| No inflation, valve-controlled overpressure protection
| 3 x higher cycle stability than standard LiPo packs on the market
| Higher usable temperature range
| Usable from -20 to +60 degrees with significantly less performance degradation, especially at lower temperatures.
| higher shock resistance than Lipo cells, due to the metal housing the Li-Ion cells used are much less sensitive to physical damage than LiPo cells (soft packs) which can also be damaged by too much pressure.
| Precisely fitting shape for wobble-free use of up to 2 batteries in the boat. Our Li-Ion battery packs are UN certified (UN38.3) for safe use.
Unlike other manufacturers, we use 4S (4 cell) Li-Ion packs with 14.8V nominal power instead of 7.4V or 11.1V. Due to the higher voltage of our 4S batteries, considerably less power is consumed at the same load and, in combination with the jet drive, enables the longest battery runtimes. The usable power is calculated from the nominal voltage (Volt) * capacity (Ah) = watt hours (Wh) in our case 14.8V * 6.6Ah = 97.68 Wh per battery pack!
Previously delivered RT3 and RT4 boats can also be operated with the new Li-Ion packs as the main or backup battery without any changes to the boat and can be charged with the supplied seal charger without changing the programming.
